Website www.Lawur.com Up and Running

I just wanted to let you all know that after working on this for 2 months straight the new website is up

Hello all,

For a change a logbook entry from me, Robert, rather then Niki . expect it to be a bit dryer then usual . :-)

I just wanted to let you all know that after working on this for 2 months straight . check the pictures and talk to Niki, it took way longer then I thought . our new website is up and running and can be found both at http://www.theschmids.org <http://www.theschmids.org/>  and http://www.lawur.com <http://www.lawur.com/>  (same website, just 2 ways to get to it . I personally find that typing www.lawur.com is much easier).

Beside a new look and feel (thanks Scott), we have put on our new site A LOT of info, monthly updates in both English AND German you might have missed (to be exact 59 monthly letters and logbook entries) and a lot of pictures you probably haven't seen (to be exact 518) . some quite old some as new as from our trip to Austria over the holidays. We are missing a few years of pictures and monthly letters in-between, but hey we want to keep putting up new stuff so you guys keep coming back . even it is actually old stuff but still new for you.

On that note, I am missing a few English monthly letters I cannot find anymore. If you can find any of the following monthly letters, I owe you dinner for each one you send me the next time we meet . NOTE THIS IS A COMPETITION . first come first serve:

-          Any monthly letter AFTER January 1999 and

-          BEFORE August 2000

Gets you the promised dinner . hey I can always find a good excuse to take a friend out for a party.

Here a few highlights of the website:

-          Up-to-date logbook entries

-          Up-to-date position report (not that interesting when we are stationary in San Diego, but already in anticipation for this fall when we are REALLY heading out)

-          Family and friend pictures going back as far as 1996 (if you have been visiting us, you might be there somewhere)

-          A monthly calendar with the most important upcoming events as well as calendar view of our logbook entries, monthly letters and picture albums

-          Some personal details of all of us . mainly for the people who don't know us that well

-          Some details of the boat

-          Answers to most questions you all grilled us with over the last year or so

-          A guestbook for you to let us know what you think . AT LEAST YOU NEED TO GO THERE AND SAY HI

-          A 'Contact Us' page since we are living on a boat now and it might be a bit more difficult to get a hold of us

-          And last but definitely not least room for SPONSORSHIP . so if you know of someone or a company who finds our idea of 'Project Marquesas' interesting enough and aligned with their target audience, please let them and/or us know, because we would love to work with them on some arrangement for our content and adventure updates.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know that the website is finally done. Thanks for Niki's and your patience, we promise to keep it up-to-date. Please let us know how you like it and if things don't work.

Have a nice day,

Robert and Family

PS: I know that it doesn't look great on the Mac . sorry time ran out for that (and you make up only 5% . oops) and the search feature will take a few weeks to show usable results . it is waiting for Google to come back and re-index my new site . no bug reports for that please . consider it a 'feature' . :-)
